let’s plan something great
Interested in Hosting a Private Event?
Hosting a private workshop is an amazing way to learn sourdough or improve your sourdough skills with family, friends, and colleagues! I can offer a range of classes including Beginner and Artistic Scoring. Details are below to help you know what to expect for each and what I can offer.
What’s Included?
A detailed and engaging 3-hour class covering a brief history of sourdough,
starter care & maintenance,
a sourdough timeline and recipe walkthrough and dough shaping.β Everyone will receive a sourdough starter, dough to take home and bake, my resources and recipes ebook, and access to The Sourdough Mama Facebook group and continued access for questions and support.
What is the Workshop Like?
The class is a hybrid style Beginner Sourdough class that includes a presentation and hands-on time. I use slides with photos/videos to walk through the information. Hands-on elements include making a starter and shaping dough to take home and bake the next day. The class is 3 hours long + 1 hour set up prior to the class and 30 minutes to clean up.
Location and What’s Needed
I can travel anywhere within the San Diego area. Travel 1β2 hours outside of San Diego adds a $150 fee. Your home can work great-ideally with a large, dough-friendly island or countertop, plus a TV with an HDMI connection and space for guests to sit and watch. A large table (or your kitchen island) is also helpful when we make our starters.
How Many People Can Attend?
I can provide materials for up to 20 guests! A minimum of 4 participants or $600 is required to hold the event.
Pricing
$150 per participant with a minimum commitment of $600 or 4 people. For example, if you only have 3 participants but are willing to pay more, you can still hold the class for $600.
Locking in a Date
A $100 deposit secures your date (refundable up to 3 days prior). Final payment and headcount are due 3 days before the event, so I can prep materials. Save 10% with cash payment!
Artistic Scoring Workshop
What’s Included?
A detailed and engaging 2 hour class covering scoring tools, techniques, and demo while participants score their own design alongside Katrina. Everyone will receive a dough to score and all the tools necessary to decorate their dough. Each participant will also receive The Sourdough Mama Artistic Sourdough Scoring Ebook and access to The Sourdough Mama Facebook group and continued access for questions and support. Note: each participant will need to return home to bake their dough shortly after the class.

Access to one oven is all that is required for Katrina to demo a score. Participants will need to return home to bake their dough- one oven is not enough to support all the dough that will need to be baked in a timely manner.
