About the event

Join us for an unforgettable sourdough experience where rustic meets elegance, and tradition blends with artistry. Hosted by master baker Graison Gill (@graisongill) and sourdough artist Katrina Niesen (@the.sourdough.mama), this hands-on workshop will explore the magic of freshly milled flours and creative scoring techniques.

Held at Valentina in Encinitas, CA, on March 18th from 10 AM to 3 PM, this immersive class will guide you through:

Freshly Milled Flours 101 – Learn about the power of fresh grains and how they transform your sourdough.

Sourdough Tin Loaf – Stencil and bake a beautifully structured sourdough tin loaf to take home.

Lunch at Valentina – Enjoy a thoughtfully curated meal in a warm and inviting setting.

Artistic Scoring Session – Embrace creativity as you score a floral-inspired loaf to take home and bake.

NOTE: you will need to return home shortly after this experience to bake your dough from the Artistic Scoring Session in your home oven.

This workshop is a meeting of contrasts—Graison’s deep, rustic approach to bread and Katrina’s delicate, artistic scoring—giving you a unique perspective on the endless possibilities of sourdough.

Spaces are limited—reserve your spot now for this one-of-a-kind sourdough experience!
